A Talk About Peace and Art Exhibit byEva Marie Loucks, Artist and Author
Mar. 16, 2018 - 10:30am Apr. 27, 2018 - 11:30am

Eva Marie’s collection of beautiful, original paintings will be on display March 2 – April 24, 2018 in The Living Room Art Gallery located in the Visitors Center at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Menands, where her talk will be held. You are invited to attend a talk about peace with Marie Loucks at Historic St. Agnes Cemetery's  Living Room Art Gallery, St. Agnes Cemetery’s Visitor Center, 48 Cemetery Ave., Menands March 16th 10:30 – 11:30 AM We can all agree we need more peace in this world.  Perhaps it is pointless to wonder why all of us can’t just coexist in peace since it has never happened in the history of mankind.  That does not mean we should lose hope and stop trying. St. Agnes Cemetery invited Eva Marie Loucks, artist and author of Medjuorje, A Personal Journey in Photography and Illustration, to share her compilation of her four pilgrimages to Medjugorje with anyone interested in attending. Through her artwork, she enjoys evangelizing and spreading the messages of Our Lady, Queen of Peace in a unique way. Her presentation will be about the messages of Fatima, Lourdes, Itapiranga and those of Medjugorje. Please join us in The Living Room Art Gallery on March 16th from 10:30 – 11:30 AM for Eva Marie’s uplifting presentation and view of her paintings. No charge. A $5 suggested donation to benefit The Living Room is appreciated. Read More

April Cemetery Clean-up for all Cemeteries
Apr. 09, 2018 - 8am Apr. 30, 2018 - 4pm

Winter decoration clean-up for our cemeteries and lots will begin on Monday, April 9th, 2018 at all Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. Lot owners are requested to remove any decorations they wish to save before April 9th, 2018. Fresh cut flowers in an approved vase are always permitted provided they are in good condition. All other decorations will be removed during the cleanup. The cleanup of all cemeteries takes some time, and depending on weather and the number of burials, may take a week to complete. During the cleanups, cemetery staff removes and discards all items from graves. Groundskeepers are instructed to leave any permitted new seasonal decoration that appears to be newly placed and is in accordance with the current Cemetery Rules and Regulations. Of course, this is a judgment call for our staff, so it is better to wait until after the cleanup to place decorations. Items placed in violation of cemetery rules and regulations or in disrepair may be removed and discarded at any time. Download a PDF document from the link above for more information regarding our cemeteries decoration regulations. Thank you for helping to keep our cemeteries beautiful! Read More
