Painting in the Style of Paul Cezanne with Noreen Powell
Saturday, February 16, 2019
10 AM – 1 PM

The Living Room Art Gallery located in Historic St. Agnes Cemetery’s Visitor Center, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Menands, NY 12204

Cezanne was an early 20 century French artist who explored the properties of line, plane, and color and their interrelationships. He studied the effect of every kind of linear direction and the intrinsic qualities of colors to create the illusion of three-dimensional form and space. Under the guidance of professional art instructor Noreen Powell, students will use acrylic and water-soluble oil paints to create their own version of Cezanne’s “Blue Vase.”  This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate painters because it offers step by step instruction with a lot of one on one guidance. All materials are provided including canvas, paints and brushes. Delicious bakery goods, coffee, tea and juice are included. To register please call Kelly at 518-350-7679 or email [email protected]. Seating is limited. Register early! Price $45 paid on the morning of class.
Please note Noreen’s original painting will differ slightly from Cezanne’s Blue Vase featured above in order to make the work more easily finished in a three hour class.
