If we recall correctly, it has been at least six years since we last held our very popular photography contest. It drew photographers of all ages and skill levels to cemeteries managed by Albany Diocesan Cemeteries to take pictures of things they found interesting to them.

This year, we’ve extended the submission deadline to June 15, 2021 to give participants 3 additional seasons to photograph, and in hopeful anticipation of being able to hold a gallery exhibit in 2021, featuring contest submissions at The Living Room Art Gallery located at Historic St. Agnes Cemetery. 

The contest can be done safely with social distancing – easy to do in any of our cemeteries. Albany Diocesan Cemeteries has 19 cemeteries located in the Capital District to choose from and all of them feature beautiful nature, statuary, architecture and interesting gravestones and many have spectacular views. We will offer generous prize money and there is no entry fee.
