    Allen G. Dunn

    November 13, 1950 - June 7, 2022

    Allen G. Dunn, 71, of Schenectady, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 after a three year battle with heart failure. Born in Schenectady on November 13, 1950, he was the son of the late John F. and Charlotte A. (Horstman) Dunn, and brother of the late Terrence E. Dunn. He is survived by his nephew Brett A. Dunn and his wife Jessica of Bridgewater, NH, his niece Melanie C. Nute and her husband Christopher of Upton, MA, his niece Tara L. Brauninger and her husband David of Uxbridge, MA, his sister-in-law Phyllis Dunn of Uxbridge, MA, and his grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Thomas and Charlotte Dunn, Patrick and Benjamin Brauninger, and Samantha Nute. Allen was a resident of Schenectady all his life. As a child, he was a very skilled soccer player. He attended Hudson Valley in Troy, NY and worked as a machinist at General Electric until his retirement. Al was an avid Yankees, Giants and Boston Celtics fan. He enjoyed golfing, the local dart league, and card nights with his buds. Allen was always a very supportive and loving uncle, brother, and friend. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 13th from 11:30-1:30 pm followed by a funeral service at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, NY. Relatives and friends are all welcome to attend. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
