Anaya Soto-Nery Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anaya was a sweet little princess that God gave us the privilege to carry, love and fight for her rights. Since the womb she has been impacting people's lives and beating the odds. She was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 when she was in her mother's womb, a genetic disease that is fatal and most babies are not able to survive in the womb. But God had another plan for her. She was born prematurely and remained alive, showing us that she was going to be a rule breaker. Every day that Anaya was alive was a miracle. For four months, we saw her grow, get stronger, and that her life was precious and had a purpose no matter what condition she was facing. She proved that one diagnosis statistic is not the final word, God has it. Anaya was a living proof of a warrior, a fighter and never gave up no matter what other people said. We are changed and impacted by her life and forever grateful and privileged to meet, love and care for her. She had the perfect cheeks to bite and the most fantastic eye lashes. She loved to listen to stories and sticking her tongue out to her big brother. Anaya leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Arnaldo and Ida, her brother, Jayden, and a very loving extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar and are welcome to remain for a service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. A reception will follow the interment at Legacy Church, 282 Elsmere Ave., Delmar.
