    Cody L. McNally

    August 27, 1990 - April 12, 2022

Cody passed away on Tuesday, April 12th at St. Peter’s hospital after an epic 2-year battle With Esophageal Cancer. Cody attended the Bethlehem School System and Hudson Valley Community College. Often thought to be quiet, he was an avid observer of the world around him and could chat about almost any topic. He never ceased to amaze his family and friends. He was employed at Loomis Securities in Albany until he fell ill. Cody was the son of Susan D. and the late John M. McNally. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joan and Carl Bornt, his paternal grandparents Terrance and Dorothy McNally and his oldest brother John James, Uncle Terrance G (Ann) of Florida. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his best friend and wife, Olivia Polzer McNally who he married on the most joyful day January 29, 2022. Survivors include his brother Brendan (Katie) and nephew Devlin McNally. He is survived by his maternal Aunt Joan Watson (David), Uncles Carl and David (Kathy). His paternal aunts and Uncle Nancy McNally Wilber (Gordon), Jane McNally, George (Connie) McNally and of course his beloved Razz. Cody is also survived by his mother-in-law Wendy Polzer, father-in-law John Polzer, and sisters-in-law Emma and Eliza, and his brother-in-law Evan. Cody was cared for by Dr. Kyle Denniston and Dr. Ronnie Luyun and many supportive staff members, St. Peter’s ICU, and the nursing staff for room 5107. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and willingness to find treatment. We would be remiss if we didn’t thank his roommates, gaming friends and a legion of people who never gave up on his journey. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday April 18, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home at 2020 Central Ave, Colonie, NY 12205. Inurnment will be on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 9:15 am at St. Agnes Cemetery at 48 Cemetery Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
