    Constance "Connie" A. Bieg

    June 28, 1935 - April 3, 2022

Constance A. Bieg “Connie” of Troy passed Sunday April 3rd at her home, surrounded by her family. Connie was born June 28, 1935, to the late Angelo and Philomena (Campana) Bruno and was the loving wife of Albert Bieg with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. A lifelong resident of Troy, Connie graduated from Troy High School in 1952. She was a retiree of the Emma Willard School where she enjoyed a long career and had many dear friends. Connie was a devout Roman Catholic and former parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Troy, where she was an active member of the Legion of Mary; St. George’s Church in Pittstown, where she taught Sunday School and volunteered in many capacities; and Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Connie will be remembered for her unconditional love of family and for her faith. In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by her four children, Julie (Tom) Glynn, David (Deborah) Bieg, Alicia (Rodney) Brown, and Kristina (Sean) Brown; her six grandchildren, Shayla (Zac) Foss, Mandi (Sean) Russell, Annaliese Bieg, Marissa Bieg, Shannon Brown, and Mason Brown; and a great- granddaughter, Darby Foss. She also leaves behind a cherished brother, John (Elaine) Bruno, and brother-in-law Ray (Bette) Bieg. She was predeceased by brother-in-law Bernard Bieg and sisters-in-law Louise and Edith Bieg. Connie loved her nephews, nieces , cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank Noelle Bentley for her love and care the last months of Connie’s life, and The Community Hospice for showing her compassion and providing her exceptional care. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM, Thursday April 7th at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Street Troy. Private entombment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. There will be no public calling hours. In Connie’s memory, please kindly consider a donation to The Community Hospice Foundation at communityhospice.org in lieu of flowers.
