    March 21, 1954 - September 28, 2020

    DeSylvia “Dee” W. Dwyer-Wilms 66, of Shunpike Road Sloansville, NY passed away Monday, September 28th 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief struggle with cancer. Dee was born March 21, 1954 in Gowanda, NY, a daughter of Norris and Neva (Kreger) Woolley. She graduated from Pine Valley High School in Forestville, NY and continued her education receiving her bachelor’s degree in education from Elmira College. She worked for NYS Department of Education as a Supervisor of Education Program in Early Learning and recently retired in June of this year. She was an active Grange member holding memberships in the National and NYS Grange, and the Bethlehem Grange #137 of Albany County and was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gallupville serving as church secretary, Fields of Grace secretary and vacation bible school. She also held a lifetime membership at the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed spending her free time fishing, gardening and counted cross stitch. Survivors include her husband, Frederick “Fritz” Wilms whom she married August 15, 2020, her mother, Neva Woolley of Dunkirk, NY, her step-daughter Joanne Dwyer of Broadalbin, NY and her brothers; Daniel (Valorie) Woolley of Camillus, NY and Stephen Woolley of Forestville, NY. She was predeceased by her father, Norris. Calling hours will be held from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday, October 3rd at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 890 State Rte. #443, Gallupville where a funeral service will begin at 1PM with Rev. Peter DeBartolo, Pastor, officiating.
