    Donna M. Alois

    June 19, 1961 - April 17, 2022

Donna Marie Alois, 60, of Glenville passed away on April 17, 2022. Born in Schenectady, NY to her late parents, Harvey and Marie (Broderick) Alois. She graduated from Niskayuna High School and received her Bachelors Degree from SUNY Albany. For over 25 years, Donna worked at multiple CVS stores in the pharmacy department, followed by a career with New York State as a Data Analyst at the NYS Cancer Registry. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life. She loved getting together with her best friends, Jodi and Jill; she also enjoyed going to Red Robin lunches with her co-workers. Donna looked forward to time spent with her family, she was a proud Aunt. As an animal lover, she opened her heart and home for many cats over the years. Donna had a compassionate and gentle soul, but was filled with resilience and strength. For nearly 7 years, she fought an upward battle against cancer, and never let her independent, loving spirit subside. She took pride in the life she created for herself: career, friendships, and her beloved Cadillac! Survivors include her siblings, Gary H. (Susan) Alois, Debbie Ann Alois and Glenn G. (Cindy) Alois; cherished nieces and nephews, Kelly Alois-Krause, Laura Marie Alois and Kurt Alois. Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. on Thursday, April 21st from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Glenville on Friday, April 22nd at 10 AM. Burial at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery will follow.
