    Frances A. Grenier

    December 9, 1930 - April 13, 2022

    Frances A. Grenier, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose Walbroehl. Frances was the devoted wife to the late Ronald E. Grenier. They were married 23 years. Frances worked for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for thirty years. She was a proud member of St. Pius X Church as well as a life member of the West Albany Fire Department Auxiliary. Frances enjoyed spending time with her entire family. She had a fond love of playing bingo as well as visiting the casino. Frances enjoyed bowling and crocheting. She always loved going for her morning coffee gatherings. Frances will always be remembered for the love and compassion she showed to others. Frances is survived by her children, David V. (Dawn) Scalisi and Mary R. Slingerland; her grandchildren, Heather (Peter) DeLair, Stacie Scalisi, April (Thomas) Fraser, and Victoria (Jason) Rector; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne DeLair, Gage DeLair, Thomas Fraser, Ethan Wallace, Lucas Fraser, and Olivia Rector; her loving sister, Margaret Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was predeceased by her first husband, Ignazio Scalisi; her daughter, Catherine A. Grenier; and her siblings, Rosemary, Edward, William, Veronica, and Thomas. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremation and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 9am to 10:30am with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211 at 11:30am. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave, Colonie, NY 12205.
