Jane Ann Livingston Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jane Ann Livingston, 75 of Rensselaer, entered into rest on Monday, June 27, 2022, in Albany. She was born on July 8, 1946, in Voorheesville to Robert F. Livingston and Elizabeth (Tedesco) Livingston. Jane was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School in Albany. She resided most of her life in Rensselaer. Jane retired in 2008 after working for 28 years as a nutritionist for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County. She simultaneously worked night shifts as a nurse's aide at St. Peter's Hospital and Rosewood Gardens for 30 years. Jane was Girl Scout leader and volunteered many hours at the Rensselaer Girl's Club and then the Rensselaer Boy's and Girl's club. Jane enjoyed sewing stuffed animals and blankets for the local hospitals and nursing homes. Jane was a kind hearted person to everyone she came in contact with, reading her daily prayer books was a priority. Jane leaves behind her family: Harry Livingston (Doris) of Cape Coral, Fla., Nina Livingston of Rensselaer, Geraldine Fordley of Rensselaer, and Patricia Livingston of Cape Coral, Fla., as well as a host of nieces and nephews who were a big part of her life. Jane was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, John, Roger, William, Ernest Livingston, and Donald Anast; and recently by her sister, Ruth Livingston, formerly of New Port Richey Fla. Jane also leaves behind her friend, Shirley Beebe of Rensselaer and Table 5 of the Rensselaer Senior Center. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Tuesday, July 5, from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Rensselaer Senior Center or The Rensselaer Boys and Girls Club.
