Joan A. Rossello, 88 of Rensselaer, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Evergreen Commons. Joan was born on July 20, 1933, in Albany, the daughter of Francis and Mae (Roney) Russell. She was a homemaker for her family her whole life, a life member of the Clinton Heights Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Melvin Roads American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Anthony Rossello Sr.; and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Rossello. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn M. Rossello and Joanne (Dean) Benamati; two sons, Anthony (Kathy) Rossello Jr. and Paul (Lisa) Rossello; eight grandchildren, Anthony P, Jaclynn, Angela, Jeremy, Ryan, Alexis, Santino, and Cianna; and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Adalyn and Adriana. Friends and family are invited to attend her calling hours from 4 - 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with The Mass of Christian Death and Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's name to a Church of St. Mary of Clinton Heights, Clinton Heights Fire Dept. or Melvin Roads American Legion Post 1231.
