    John C. Mulligan Jr.

    March 24, 1947 - May 9, 2022

    John "Jack" C. Mulligan Jr., formerly of Troy and The Villages, Fla., passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Troy, the son of the late John Mulligan Sr. and Anna Mae Hilton Mulligan. He was the loving husband, friend, and partner of Donna Mulligan. Jack served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jack dedicated his life for over 30 years to the City of Troy Fire Department, retiring in 2006, he also worked for Hoosick Electric in Troy for over 30 years. Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed time golfing and being with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his children, Marcia (Don) Cushman, John (Heather) Mulligan, Mark (Carley) Mulligan, Tim (Beth) Mulligan, Todd (Jess) Mulligan, David (Terri) Schumaker, and Tammy (Mike) Anderson; his seventeen grandchildren; and his siblings, Gary (Pam) Mulligan, Michael (Chris) Mulligan, Colleen (late David) Mulligan Heyward, Nancy Mulligan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and brothers, Bob (Geri) Mulligan and Billy (late Mary) Mulligan. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from Capital Cardiology Associates and Albany Medical Center's CCU. Family and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, in the funeral home. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
