John M. Zullo

John M. Zullo, 99 of Troy, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 3, 2022, in the comfort of his son's home. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary DiAecitas Zullo and the beloved husband of the late Theresa Corina Zullo, who passed away in November of 2021. John served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and drove a Troop Landing Craft in three major invasions, Normandy, Southern France and Okinawa. After the war he worked many different jobs but working with wood was the one for him. He worked out of the Carpenters Local #291. John loved spending time with his family, wood crafting, golfing and making apple pies for his friends and family. He was also a member of the ICC in Troy. He is survived by his son, John B. Zullo of Troy; and was predeceased by his sons, Stephen John Zullo and Robert Paul Zullo. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Laura (Mario) Mugrace, Kari (Steve) Moore and Stephanie Zullo; great-grandchildren, Aden, Kylie, Mason, and Easton. John was also predeceased by his brothers, Henry, Ralph and Fred Zullo. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 3rd St. Troy. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating, Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
