Josephine Peleggi

January 17, 1937 - June 2, 2022

Josephine Peleggi, 85, of Colonie, passed away on June 2, 2022 at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was born in Limina Italy, to the late Nunziato and Francesca Manuli. Josie immigrated to Albany in 1955 at the age of 18, where she met her loving husband of 57 years. She was an amazing cook and loved to garden and harvest her vegetables to share with family and friends. Josie was a talented seamstress, working along side her sisters at Juliet House of Brides. Josephine is survived by her loving sons, Lorenzo Peleggi and Nunzio (Kathleen) Peleggi, grandchildren Analise (Matt Quadros) and Luke Peleggi, brother Philip (Lynda) Manuli, sister Tina Maceli, sister in law Carmela Manuli, as well as many loving nieces and nephews in the US and Italy. In addition to her parents, Josie was predeceased by her husband Anthony, brother Giuseppe Manuli and sister Nella McMillan. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday June 8th from 9am-10am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with a Mass immediately following at 10am. Interment will take place following the Mass in the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery .
