Laurie J. Byerwalters

March 5, 1960 - March 20, 2022

Laurie J. Byerwalters, 62, passed away on March 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Teresa Diacetis Day. Laurie was a 1978 graduate from R-C-S High School and then went onto graduate from Maria College. Laurie retired from the Albany County Health Department after working there for 22 years. Laurie was a member of the Ravena Hose Company Auxiliary and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her co-workers. Survivors include her son, Richard J. (Melissa) Byerwalters III; grandson, Richard J. Byerwalters IV; sisters, Denise Day (David LaFleur Sr.), and Peggy Day; nieces, Christa and Jenna LaFleur; and nephew, Luke Day. Laurie was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Byerwalters Jr.; and her sister, Lisa Wilsey. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, in The Church of St. Patrick, Ravena. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans.
