    Louise M. Taranto

    April 16, 1933 - May 2, 2022

Louise A. Taranto, 89, peacefully passed away on Monday May 2, 2022 at the Teresian House. She was one of six children born in Norwich, NY to the late Michael and Julia Martin. Louise always said that the most wonderful and fulfilling part of her life was being a Mother. She was a talented artist and a life long learner with a love of reading and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith with an unwavering belief in the power of prayer. Those who were blessed to know her will always remember her deep love for her family as well as her feisty, fun and sarcastic sense of humor. Louise is the beloved Mother of Julie (Brian) Wilson of Guilderland, Paul Taranto of Rochester, Anthony (Trish) Taranto of Mechanicville, Philip (Helen) Taranto of Albany, Steven Taranto of Guilderland, Mary (Kevin) Relyea of Guilderland and Andrew (Karen) Taranto of Rotterdam. She is the cherished Grandmother of Shelby (Ryan), Alyssa, Priscilla (Scott), Kyle, Trevor, Taylor, Cassidy, Zachary, Sidney, Jacob and Veronica. She is the proud Great-Grandmother of Savannah and Paige. She is also survived by her sister Mary Wohlleben, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Julian Taranto. She was also predeceased by her siblings John Martin, Tony Martin and Evelyn Currie. A private family service will be held on June 4, 2022.
