Marilyn Jean Wade Dumas of Colonie passed peacefully Friday, June 17, 2022. A lifetime resident with deep family connections to the Capital District, her mother, Elsie, was a member of the Quay family of the Helderberg Hilltowns and her father, Benjamin Wade, a son of a longtime Albany family. A 1954 graduate of Roessleville High School and Albany Business School, Jean had fond memories of her classmates, attending many of her class reunions. Through the years she crocheted and knitted many items including, blankets, wraps and scarfs; generously shared her knowledge and skills of cooking and baking that her family always enjoyed; traveled with local senior groups on many memorable trips, and was on more than a few bowling leagues through the years.
