    Marilyn Mammola

    December 15, 1943 - April 13, 2022

    Marilyn Mammola age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital. She was born on December 15, 1943, in Gary, Indiana to the late Edward and Mary Wehner. Marilyn graduated from Valparaiso, Indiana High School and went on to Holy Cross School of Nursing at the University of Notre Dame. She was a Registered Nurse working in Indiana, Pennsylvania and New York where she worked for Empire Blue Cross- Blue Shield and CDPHP. She enjoyed reading, gardening and playing the piano and organ. She served as a member of the board of The Lake George Association and as a volunteer with Friends of the Saratoga Springs Library. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Joseph, following their marriage in May of 1967 at the Sacred Heart Chapel on the campus of the University of Notre Dame; son, Anthony (Kristine) of Saratoga Springs; sister, Jane (Dan) of Ocala, FL; brothers, Gerald (June) of New Harmony, Indiana and Richard of Las Vegas, Nevada; many nephews, nieces and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen Mammola; brothers, Ronald, Thomas and sister, Joan. Family and friends may call from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, New York. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. A graveside service will be held at The Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309 following the mass at the church.
