    Mary H. Vogel

    March 24, 1930 - May 6, 2022

Mary Vogel passed away on May 6, 2022, after several years of declining health. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Connors. Mary was a graduate of St. Patrick's Elementary School and Catholic Central High School. She truly lived a full life. Mary was a devoted lifelong member of St. Patrick's Parish in Watervliet, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Craft Guild and volunteered at Mary's Kitchen. Mary also cherished her time as a religious education teacher preparing children for their First Communion. She was also a eucharistic minister. Despite failing health Mary continued to worship and actively serve at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet. Mary was a proud retiree from the Watervliet School District where she worked as a teacher's aide for several years. She loved her time in the classroom with children. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry R. Vogel; her daughter, Carol Vogel; her parents, Mary and James Connors; and siblings, James F. Connors, Sister Mary Immaculate Heart PBVM and Patrick Connors; as well as her sister in-law, Patricia Biehl Connors; and brother in-law, Dan Keating. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Christine Bulmer; son-in-law, James; grandson, Christian Bulmer; granddaughter, Maura (David) Nichols; and her beloved great-grandson, Adam Nichols. Mary is also survived by her loving sister, Norma Keating; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Nelson, and many cherished nieces and nephews. A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at her dearly loved Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
