    Maryann Pigeon

    March 19, 1933 - March 29, 2022

Maryann Pigeon, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 with her loving and devoted daughter Lori by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Maryann was raised by her grandmother, Concetta Massaro. She was happily married to the late Richard “Dick” Pigeon for 59 years. Maryann worked as a secretary at General Electric, as a bookkeeper at Costumer, and as a homemaker to raise her daughter. She enjoyed bowling, working on Election Day at the polls, slot machines, playing bingo, shopping, newspaper word searches, and watching every sporting or school event of her grandsons who she cherished. She loved spending as much time as she could with her family. She remained strong as she fought bravely over the last several months. She will be remembered for her kindness and how she touched the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lori (Pigeon) Isles, her two cherished grandsons; Ryan and Sean Isles, her special granddaughter-in-law, Brooke Isles, her great grandson, Brayden Isles, several cousins and close friends, especially Georgia Olszewski, who was always there for Maryann and her family. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady, NY 12306. Services will begin on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9:15am at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial following at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Schenectady, NY 12306. Burial will follow at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery in Rotterdam.
