    Norine T. Singsheim

    September 20, 1936 - April 23, 2022

    Norine Singsheim, 85, passed away Saturday April 23, 2022. Norine was born in Glens Falls, NY the daughter of the late Mildred and Hugh Hannon and was a lifelong area resident. She worked for more than thirty years at Scotia Glenville School District in the Comptroller’s office as a book keeper. Norine spent countless hours volunteering for local charities such as Schenectady Food Pantry, St. Luke’s Church and St. Clare’s Hospital and also helped those institutions as well as other charities through financial contributions. She loved spending the long summer days at the family camp on Upper Saranac Lake and spending the winter months in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Norine was a great cook who loved taking care of her family and was a beautiful woman inside and out. She will be remembered as the best mom and grandma someone could have. Norine was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Frank in 2021. Norine is survived by her children: Ellyn (Bill) Delos, Michael (Kelly) Singsheim, Kathleen (John) Schultz, Timothy (Kelly) Singsheim and Ann (Doug) Shattuck, grandchildren: Ryan, Erin, Mitchell, Katijo, Nicole, Alex, Andrew and Connor, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Norine’s family would like to thank the Ellis Hospital staff, especially those on C-6 and A-5, for the loving care shown to Norine and her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 1:00 pm at St . Joseph’s Church, 600 State St., Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the Mass Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
