Robert S. Smith Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert S. Smith Jr., 75 of Vosburgh Road, died on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Albany on October 2, 1946, and was the son of the late Robert S. and Violet Schreck Smith Sr. Bob had been a key and tool manager for Siena College in Loudonville, having worked for the college for over 25 years. Earlier Bob was a truck driver for Consolidated Fibers and Albany Asphalt. He enjoyed wood working, making signs and NASCAR. He was a N.Y. Mets and Siena Basketball fan and had been a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers. But most important to Bob was the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Arcuri Smith; devoted father of Brian P. (Rebecca) Smith of Ballston Spa; brother of the late Margaret Valyou; cherished grandfather of Leanne, Briana and Kirsten Smith. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of the Angels Chapel at Siena College in Loudonville where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Siena College Annual Fund - Athletic Department 515 Loudon Road, Loudonville, NY, 12211. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park.
