    Rose Morawski

    March 8, 1924 - May 8, 2022

    Rose Morawski, 98 of Maplewood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8th, 2022. Born March 8, 1924 in Troy, Rose was the daughter of the late Adam and Marcella (Wiczerock) Kocienski. She was married to Edward Morawski on July 2, 1944 and the two shared a devoted union of 39 years prior to his passing in 1983. Rose worked as a Housekeeper at Bellevue Woman's Center in Niskayuna for 36 years, retiring in 2008. She was a prior parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady. She enjoyed gardening, cleaning, spending time with her family and especially her cats. She will be forever missed and eternally cherished by all who knew and loved her. Rose is survived by her beloved children Edward P. (Anita) Morawski and Daniel (Chantal) Morawski, grandson Robert J. (Mary), as well as great grandchildren Robert J. Jr. and Kristen M. Morawski. She is also survived by her brother Joseph (Margaret) Kocienski, many nieces and nephews, and her friends Elizabeth Hanna, Rose McCuiliffe and Jeanine Saucey. She was predeceased by her brothers Phillip (Marion), Edward (Josie) and Stephen (Margaret) Kocienski and a very special friend for over 50 years Mary D'Orazio, Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 9-10:30 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Rose's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, immediately following the visitation at 11am with Rev Geoffrey Burke, celebrant. Interment will take place next to her husband Ed in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
