    Ruth E. Seypura

    December 12, 1934 - March 5, 2022

    Ruth Esther Dombrowski Seypura, 87, passed away at her home in Rotterdam, NY on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Born on December 12, 1934, in Lancaster, NY, Ruth was the daughter of the late Walter and Lottie Handzel Dombrowski. Ruth graduated from Blessed Sacrament School in Albany and the Vincentian Institute, class of 1952. She was employed at A & P (Great A & P Tea Co.), the Boston Store at the former Mohawk Mall, Addis & Dey's and the NYS Dept. of Taxation & Finance in Albany. Ruth was a longtime faithful member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady. In addition to her parents, Ruth was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 yrs, Frank Seypura, whom she married on November 1, 1958 and her brother, Daniel Dombrowski. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Lang (Kevin) of Albany, Diane Seypura (Arthur Coons) of Latham and Sandy Schottenham (Jim) of North Brookfield, her brother Dr. Lawrence (Ann) Dombrowski of Albany as well as many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She hosted many family gatherings with pride and joy. Ruth and Frank enjoyed many travels in the U.S. and Hawaii. During retirement years they spent winters in Florida. The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice and all the other care givers for the kindness and compassion they extended to Ruth and her family during her illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St. in Schenectady. Burial will follow at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery in Rotterdam.
