Terrance R. Small passed from this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the age of 76. Born in Derby, Conn. on October 5, 1945, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Byndas) Small. Raised in East Nassau, he was a graduate of New Lebanon High School and was a Cum Laude graduate of Siena College where he earned a degree in Theoretical Economics. He later served in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill having ten years in the active reserve and achieving the rank of captain. He enjoyed employment in building supplies and later in the educational sales field with the Follett Corporation of Chicago where he was employed for 35 years before his retirement. He was a member of the U.S. Army Active Reserve Association, Latham Little League where he served as a manager of the Junior/ Senior Leagues, WEBLO Leader of the Boy Scouts of America, the Siena College Alumni Association and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Frances Mary (Wright) Small; his sons, Terrance R. (Dawn) Small, Jr, of Stratford, N.H. and Jeffery (Heather) Small of Andover, Mass.; his grandchildren, Jonathan and Thomas Small, Madeleine and Hadley Small; his brother, Warren (Peggy) Small of Pebble Beach, Calif. A funeral Mass for Terrance will be celebrated on Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham by the Reverend Geoffrey Burke, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with the Small family at the church prior to Mass from 9 until 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, prior to the Mass.
