    Tommasina " Tommie" P. Perretta

    March 29, 1947 - February 5, 2022

    Tommasina R. “Tommie” Perretta, 74, entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2022. Tommie was born on March 29, 1947, in Schenectady where she resided her entire life. She graduated from Linton High School, class of 1965, and then spent her entire career working at KAPL in Niskayuna. She retired after 40 years of service. Tommie loved reading mystery novels, dogs, shopping, and trivia. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed travel. Tommie organized countless shopping trips to Reading, PA, and will always be remembered for her involvement with the Kermis Club’s annual children’s Christmas parties. Tommie was generous and devoted to her family. She resided at Brookdale in Niskayuna since 2014. She was an active and well-liked member of the community. She will be dearly missed by her friends and the staff. Tommie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Vincent (Jimmy) Perretta and Colleda Castiglione Perretta; and her brother Anthony Perretta. She leaves behind her nieces, Jennifer Bennett and Lori (Todd) Birmingham, great-nieces and nephews, Luke Bennett, Kathleen Birmingham, Anna Bennett, Natalie Birmingham, and Evan Birmingham; many beloved cousins and friends. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 9-10 am.
