    Evelyn Nash

    February 21, 1931 - November 24, 2021

Evelyn M. Nash passed away peacefully at the Van Rensselaer Manor on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was 90 years old. She was born in Cohoes on February 21, 1931, to the late Theodore and Ella Bresee. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael "Mike" Nash. Evelyn and Mike resided in Lansingburgh for over 60 years where they raised their four children. She was employed by Pollock's Lumber Company for over 30 years. Evelyn was an avid Yankees and Notre Dame fan, traveling with Mike to both Indiana and Ireland to cheer for the "Fighting Irish." Upon retirement, she spent many years with Mike establishing their business, Specialty Woodcrafters, painting handcrafted novelty items. Together they enjoyed many winters in both Hollywood Beach and Jupiter, Fla. Evelyn was well-loved by anyone who met her. Evelyn was an accomplished seamstress, artist and enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her family. In her later years she was a very happy resident of Hearthstone Village in Latham. She was an active participant in many of their events including being a Wii Bowling champ and was featured in a television commercial for Hearthstone Village. She was one of the weekly regulars for both Bingo and cards. Evelyn treasured many of the friendships she made at Hearthstone especially Gerrie Ryan. A special thanks to the caring professionals and staff at Van Rensselaer Manor along with her Hospice nurse, Sandy Michael. Survivors include her children, Susan Costantini (Joseph), Mickey Kane (Ned), Michael Nash and Carolyn Nash (Tom); sisters, Leila Crier, Jane Hennessy Sickles and Doris Marano; sister-in-law, Judy Gervais (John); brother-in-law, Donald Nash; grandchildren, Jon Costantini, Sarah Trottier (Scott), Erin Larsen (Brett), Meghan Kane, Zachary Price, Brendan Kane, and Michael Nash; great-grandchildren, Max Trottier, Leo Trottier and Maeve Rory Larsen; and many nieces and nephews.
