He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. He worked for many years as a custodian at Schalmont Central School District. After his retirement, Mike went on to work for TSA at Albany International Airport. Mike will be remembered for the time he spent doing the hard jobs that keep the places around us looking good and functioning smoothly, for raising good kids with big hearts (just like his), and for his often-present dry chuckle. Mike leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Patricia H. Riccio DiCerbo; his children, Kathleen Perrine (Ric) of Colorado, Lawrence DiCerbo of Fairfax, VA, Patricia DiCerbo of Fairfax, VA and Michael DiCerbo Jr. (Kristen) of Avondale, AZ; his grandchildren Jennifer Perrine, Russell Selkirk, April Perrine, Richard Perrine, Jr., Nicole Perrine, Anthony Helms, Larry Helms, Jeffrey (Tanya) Riccio, Kristen Riccio, and his great-grandchildren: Kayla Syring, Gabe Helms, Freya Helms, Parker Helms, Kamryah Riccio, Greyson Riccio, and Creed Riccio Mike was predeceased by his parents, his siblings: Donald DiCerbo, Lorenzo DiCerbo, Anna Tariello, Pauline Ross, and Philomena DiCaprio, and his children, Gabriel DiCerbo and Jeffrey Riccio. A calling hour will take place on Monday, April 4th from 10-11a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Rotterdam. A mass of Christian burial will follow, beginning at 11a.m. Mike’s ashes will be entombed at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
