    Nicholas J. Cook

    October 7, 1999 - March 4, 2022

    Nicholas John David Cook, 22, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Albany Memorial Hospital. Nicholas was born in East Greenbush, New York, the son of John and Albina (Nuzzi) Cook.He was a graduate of Columbia High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He worked for Hoffmans Car Wash and was a Doordash driver. His passions were skateboarding, guitar playing, gaming, basketball, football and cooking. His favorite food was chicken wings, mango's and hot sauce. He was kind to everyone he met. He loved his bearded dragons Thugger and Nugget, his new puppy Bonzo and late dog Bandit and his cats Billy, Olyfur, Sydney and Cupid. Survivors Include parents John Cook and Albina Nuzzi-Cook, sisters Albina L. Cook and Linda Rarick, brothers Christopher Cook and Nick Schultz, grandfather Thomas Cook and many beloved aunt's, uncle's and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Albina and Ralph Nuzzi, Beatrice Cook, his Uncle Mikey Cook and Aunt Lou-Ann Duquette. His memory lives through his enormous band of brothers and sisters; Kody Huffer, Artie Chamberlain, Joe Konitski, Gerald Andres, Doug Mamone, Ezra Prespare, Ronan Kennedy, Eithan Reynolds, Brandon Rost, Sydney Phillips, Jenna Bettie, Katie Griffin and Tyler Breedlove. He was the adoring uncle to William Beattie, Jordan Ridner, and London McKnight. World's Greatest Chef gone too soon and never forgotten. We love you forever Nick! Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home Inc., 165 Columbia Tpk in Rensselaer. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Nicholas's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
